what lies beneath

Back in October, we had our first snowfall of the season. And while I wasn't too thrilled about the winter coming so soon, it was very exciting for the boys. They all gathered around to watch it come down.
I loved watching Austin take in the snow storm. Not that he recognized the significance (is it significant?), I don't even know that his little eyes even registered the flakes of white. But he seemed pretty mesmerized by it.
Noah thought it was pretty wonderful. Taylor seemed to be contemplative.
Maybe they were both just scheming...

because a few days ago, with the disappearance of the snow, came the re-appearance of our many long-lost spoons! Those little punkers had chucked them out in the snow when I wasn't looking! I confronted Jack and Taylor about it this morning. "I didn't!" Jack insisted. Taylor quickly fessed up.

"Noah and me did. We throwed em in the snow. But but but but but but but but but but but the snow is all gone now."

He hurried outside in his chubby bare feet and gathered up 2 knives, 1 fork, and 7 spoons. oh, you boys.

  3. I remember doing the very same thing when I was little! We didn't have snow but I loved taking spoons out to dig in the dirt. We were forever short on spoons.
You captured some great looks on your boys! :)
